Bal Gangadhar Tilak is a man popularly known as “Maker of Modern India” by Mahatma Gandhi and “Father of the Indian Revolution” by Jawaharlal Nehru. “Freedom is my birthright and I shall have it!” Is a popular slogan by Bal Gangadhar Tilak. He died at the age of 64 years. He was one of the founders of the Fergusson College in Pune.

He was not just an Indian nationalist but was a  teacher, and an independence activist. He worked hard for the freedom of the Indians and became very popular to the extent where even the  British colonial authorities called him “The father of the Indian unrest”
